JOB TRAINING INSTRUCTOR

Job duties include teaching, vocational training courses to adults with disabilities. Courses include clerical/data entry, cash register, custodial and  landscape maintenance, as well as forklift training. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with vocational assessments and teaching independent living skills such as food preparation, using public transportation, etc.

Must be able to create and implement course content utilizing appropriate instructional methods, monitor participant progress and make recommendations for training revisions. Must maintain property accountability and oversee the distribution of equipment and training materials as well as maintain appropriate documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a closely related field, and at least two-years teaching experience with demonstrated instructional ability. Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.  This is a grant funded position.
